  • Dr. David Torrents, Group Leader
  • Dr. Barbara Montserrat, Post Doc fellow, contact: barbara.montserratarrobabsc.es
  • Dr. Josep Maria Mercader, Post Doc fellow, contact: josep.mercaderarrobabsc.es
  • Montserrat Puiggròs, Research assistant, contact: puiggros.montserratarrobabsc.es

Description: BSC (Dr. Torrents’ group) has a strong experience on computational genomics, identification and characterization of regulatory regions and comparative analysis. Main role of BSC within MITIN project will be the development and maintenance of the computational framework that will store, integrate and allow the visualization and interpretation of the insulin signalling and mitochondrial systems, the integrative system resulting from the interaction of both as well as the prediction of functional associations between components of both systems (WP1). MareNostrum, the most powerful supercomputer in Europe, available at BSC, will be used for these purposes.
