Description: VTT (Dr. Oresic) possess an extensive know-how on integrative bioinformatics and development of algorithms and methodologies for metabolomics and other omics as well as on lipidomics charachterization. In fact, they have developed a lipidomics platform for global screening of lipids and database solutions for their automated identification. Their main role within MITIN project will be to lead WP2, aiming at developing new methods and protocols that will permit better integration of data into the bioinformatics platform, especially regarding the lipidomics data. Besides, they will be responsible for all lipidomics analysis foreseen within the workplan (WP3, WP4 and WP5). Finally, Dr. Oresic will lead WP7 given its experience in technology transfer and patent filing, although all partners will actively participate in WP7 as they are committed to maximizing the diffusion of all relevant project results.
