Description: The research group led by Dr. Mora (ULIVERPOL) has been actively carrying out research activities in the area of insulin signalling, more specifically, they have investigated the insulin-mediated regulation of membrane trafficking events in adipocytes and muscular cells. Their main contribution to this proposal will be to conduct experiments and lead the work package (WP4): Insulin resistance as a cause for mitochondrial dysfunction. Results obtained will contribute to feed WP1 and, besides, ULIVERPOOL will actively participate in the validation of targets (WP5) in cultured cells.
